RODNEY V. ANDREASEN, ARCHITECT/AIA
OVERVIEW OF THE TAM+CZ, INC.
TAM+CZ Architects is a full service established local architectural firm with over a fifty-year history of serving the institutional/educational client. TAM+CZ brings to its clients an exceptional level of design talent and technical skill so as to produce the finest quality end-product in the most cost-effective manner. The vast majority of our work is for public agencies, most of which is in the educational field
TAM+CZ has built its reputation on service to its Clients: Technical and design ability plus an extra measure of attention to the Client's project and desires. This is represented first in communication during the preliminary phase that identifies the Client's wishes and incorporates them in the preliminary documents and construction documents. It continues during construction with follow-through that assures that you get what we all agreed to. Our policy during construction is that issues arising during construction take precedence to anything else; answers must be found so that construction may continue, and not have to wait for the Architect to "find time". And our high quality services do not terminate upon completion of construction; we service the project after construction to trouble-shoot any problems that may arise.
TAM+CZ Architects, Inc. dates back to 1968 when our founder J. Martin Temple formed Wagner-Temple, Inc. with Walter Wagner.
Mr. Temple attended the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree in 1958. He returned to Fresno, taking an entry-level position with Walter Wagner and Partners in June 1958. Mr. Temple became a licensed Architect in 1961. Over the next 8 years he worked on multiple projects for WW & P.
Temple left WW&P in 1968 when Wagner terminated that firm, and they started a new firm as “Wagner-Temple Inc.” in the then-new Del Webb Center. The firm was off to a good start with the Inyo-Van Ness Parking Structure (the spiral garage) in downtown Fresno, and the IRS Center on Butler Avenue.
Temple became sole owner of WT in 1978 upon Wagner’s retirement, then formed Temple-Andersen-Moore (TAM) in 1983. In 1998 and 2007 new partners were added, and the firm name was changed to the current TAM+CZ Architects, Inc.
